Jenifer Prouty Hoffman, principal broker and owner of Hoffman Real Estate in Bennington, has been named the 2021 Realtor of the Year by the South Central Vermont Board of Realtors (SCVBR). SCVBRâs Realtor of the Year recognition is the boardâs highest honor and recognizes a realtor member for outstanding commitment to the real estate industry, and to their clients and community.
âAs SCVBRâs 2020 president, she guided us through uncharted COVID territory with intelligence, passion, and class, all while building a house and opening her own firm,â said Steve Stettler, 2021 SCVBR president. âShe repeatedly steps up to the plate when needed and honors all of us by representing the highest values of a realtor.â

The South Central Vermont Board of Realtors announced Tuesday that it has donated a total of $18,475 to seven area food pantries to help communities impacted by COVID-19. As a result of the pandemic, the board said, food insecurity rates and reliance on food pantries are skyrocketing.
Typically, on any other given year, the South Central Vermont Board of Realtors collects donations at each of their meetings. This year, the board was not able to meet in person, so members decided to form a fundraising committee, which far surpassed its goal of $10,000.
