Mashpee Robotics Team Out Of Stock Finishes Second in Worlds Tune Up

Team Out of Stock, led by Mashpee Middle-High School sophomores Sean Ware and Camden Perry, placed second out of 21 teams in a VEX Robotics live remote tournament presented by the REC Foundation on Saturday, April 17. Teams from all over the world signed up for this virtual competition as eight different states and four additional countries were represented in this tournament. Out of Stock’s partner was a duo from Singapore. Team Paradigm, from Redwood City, California, and ROBOSheen from Lexington won the event. “It’s really cool they are competing against teams all over the world and in the nation because those teams that are competing still today are high-caliber,” Mashpee robotics coach Amanda Hough said.

Mashpee Robotics Team Wins Southern New England Championship

For the first time in program history, the Mashpee Middle-High School robotics team has won the Southern New England VEX Robotics Championship. With the victory on March 27, four members of the program earned a chance to compete in the Live Remote VEX Robotics World Championship beginning on May 14. “I was so proud of the kids,” teacher and robotics coach Amanda Hough said. “For six years of competing in VEX Robotics this was the goal. It was always to be able to control their own destiny, play well as a team and work together to achieve their goal.” Representing Mashpee at the world championship will be the sophomore duo of Sean Ware and Camden Perry, who call themselves team Out of Stock, and team Free Shipping, which is composed of their older brothers—seniors Nathan Ware and Nathan Perry.
