Southside Community Park grand opening is June 19 in New Philadelphia

NEW PHILADELPHIA The public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening of the Southside Community Park Phase One at 11 a.m. June 19.
The new park entrance is at 1320 Oldtown Valley Road SE, where S. Broadway ends and the county road begins.
The site will have the city’s first dog park, trails and a pollinator garden.
Following the ceremony, the Tuscora Park Foundation will have a chicken barbecue to raise funding for capital projects in the city’s park system.
The foundation was instrumental in securing the state grant funding necessary for the Phase One construction.
