Graphic compliments of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is seeking a consultant to provide plans, specifications, and a cost estimate related to improvements at the Egan and Yandukin Drive intersection. According to a department document, the project is to include the design of permanent changeable message boards to indicate seasonal changeable speed limits along Egan Drive as well as improving the delineation of the intersection.  That would include better delineations of left turm movements off of Egan Drive and a better delineation for the northbound right-turn movement from Egan Drive to Fred Meyer as traffic is coming from town.  David Epstein, the Regional and Traffic Engineer for South Coast Region, said the aim is to help motorists making left turns from the opposing lanes.
