+ May 13, 2021 LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The Provincial Health Office (PHO) has reminded Pangasinenses to stay indoors or in shaded areas, remain well hydrated, and avoid strenuous activities amid dangerously high heat index being experienced in the province.
In an interview on Wednesday, PHO chief Dr. Anna Ma. Teresa de Guzman said individuals, especially those with heavy work and workers under the direct heat of the sun like construction workers and traffic enforcers, should regularly drink sufficient amounts of water.

MANGALDAN, Pangasinan – The Rural Health Unit (RHU) here has logged 94.28 percent mortality rate among senior citizens due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Dr. Raquel Ogoy, the COVID-19 focal person here, said 33 out of the 35 total death cases of the virus here were all senior citizens.
“Sa monitoring namin, dalawa lang ang hindi senior citizen na namatay dahil sa COVID-19,” she said in an interview Wednesday, May 12.
Ogoy said they were able to record two latest death cases over the weekend.
“Noong Sabado, 71-years-old na lalaki ito at na-stroke. In-admit siya sa ospital then it turned out na positive siya (sa COVID-19). ‘Yung isa naman ay 83-years-old female na may diabetes at namatay noong Linggo,” she said.
