DEBORAH TRICKER, 63, of Divinity Road, Oxford, admitted driving at 37mph in a 30mph zone on the A4074 on September 5. She was fined £250, ordered to pay a victim surcharge fee of £34 and court costs of £90. Her driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points. She was not given a totting disqualification because her daughter and elderly mother rely on her to drive. CHRISTELLE SHEPHERD, 29, of Hereson Road, Ramsgate, Oxon, was convicted of failing to provide a specimen for analysis on July 15 when required by a police officer. She was fined £250, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £500. She was also disqualified from driving for 14 months. ....
A TESCO branch has announced it will be closing its doors for 30 weeks, which has led to anger from residents. The Tesco Metro on Cowley Road is due to close this spring so the shop can be reconfigured and allow 137 student flats can be built above it. Residents shared their worries about having to travel further afield to shop for essentials, and local MP Anneliese Dodds has also written to the supermarket chain.
