Can cirrhosis of the liver be treated with faeces transplantation?
Researchers from Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital replace sick intestinal bacteria with intestinal bacteria from healthy donors in a treatment intended to help patients with cirrhosis of the liver. The Novo Nordisk Foundation supports the project with just over DKK 13 million.
In Denmark, approximately 15,000 people are diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. The disease has different causes and is serious due to the complications and frequent deterioration associated with it, as well as the high mortality rate.
59 Hepatitis treatment centres established in Punjab: Balbir Singh Sidhu

CHANDIGARH: In view of extending the medical benefits to high-risk groups, the Punjab Government established the 59 Hepatitis treatment centres from 2017 to 2020 in State and it is matter of pride, on Punjab model GoI has developed National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NVHCP) to treat such patients across the country.
The Health Minister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu informed that Punjab was the first State to initiate free of cost treatment of Hepatitis C in country. Till date 1.83 lakh persons have been screened for Hepatitis C in the State and 91, 403 patients have been initiated on free treatment of Hepatitis C. All 59 treatment centers are actively functional at 22 District Hospitals, 3 GMCs, 13 ART centers, 11 OST sites, 9 Central Prisons and 1 SDH.

Covid Care Network establishes online Covid Memorial to commemorate lost lives to pandemic
February 01, 2021 Covid Care Network (CCN), an online portal developed by Dr. Abhijit Chowdhury, will commemorate the lives lost to coronavirus by maintaining a web repository called National Covid Memorial.
The repository was made available for the public from 30 January 2021, as per the official release. This online portal will be used for all the Covid warriors who have lost their lives battling the pandemic. The portal is run by a team of good Samaritans who have assisted thousands of Covid patients during the pandemic.
CCN is a non-government organisation, structured as a framework of Covid survivors and their family members. This includes individuals from different walks of life, physicians, health workers involved or willing to get associated in integrated Covid-19 care.
