The iconic adventurer-slash-genius was originally immortalized in a classic series of novels that began publishing in 1910 by the Stratemeyer Syndicateâthe same book packaging company that gave us Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boysâbut this version is way more modern than any of the ahead-of-their-time gadgets Swift cooked up back in his day.

Positioned as a backdoor pilot for a potential spinoff (which we DEMAND), the episodeâs introduction of the fashionable and funny Tom is sure to shake things up for Nancy (Kennedy McMann), given that his specialty is a bit more sci-fi than the Drew Crewâs supernatural bent. Here, the absolutely enchanting Richards celebrates the âyoung, black, gifted and queerâ vibe of this new Tom, gives a few clues as to what heâs up to and looks ahead to what we may see should he score that spot on The CW schedule.

Star Wars franchise comes back to life for more adventures and more in TV This Week.
Arguably the biggest premiere this week is
Jupiter s Legacy on Netflix, the massive adaptation of Mark Millar s acclaimed original superhero comic series. This week also brings the long-awaited premiere of
Star Wars: The Bad Batch, which (fittingly) kicks off on May the 4th. Digging deeper, we have a new
Van Helsing on SYFY; a double header of

The characters are stuck at a standstill and at the same spot with no
