Wednesday marked five years since Harford County Sheriff’s Office Senior Deputy Patrick Dailey and Deputy First Class Mark Logsdon were killed in the line of duty in Abingdon, although it has not felt like five years to the family members and fellow law enforcement officers who remember them every day.

Updated: 3:21 PM EST Feb 10, 2021 The families of two Harford County sheriff s deputies who were shot and killed in the line of duty five years ago Wednesday are ensuring their memory lives on.Deputy First Class Mark Logsdon and Senior Deputy Patrick Dailey were shot on Feb. 10, 2016, as they responded to reports of a suspicious person at the Panera in Abingdon.The county held a sunrise ceremony and flag-raising Wednesday morning, followed by a moment of silence at noon. A memorial blood drive was underway Wednesday afternoon by appointment at the American Legion Post 17.The families of the fallen deputies held a vigil Wednesday morning to remember their life and their legacy. Jenn Logsdon and Aimee Chandler held personal reflections and a remembrance at Park View Memorial Garden.Starting this season, the Aberdeen Ironbirds will memorialize the deputies badge numbers on a special patch that will be worn on players jerseys.
