Dharmshala: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the meeting with senior officers of Kangra district through video conferencing from Chamba today directed to increase additional bed capacity in the district to facilitate the covid-19 patients in view of sharp surge in cases of this pandemic in the district.
The Chief Minister said that makeshift arrangements should be made in Paraur to provide additional 250 bed capacity within next 10 days which would be gradually increased to about 1000 beds. He said that proper and smooth supply of oxygen must be ensured and ICU bed capacity must be enhanced to provide better treatment to critically ill patients.

Shimla, March 2 : The suspension of five Congress legislators in Himachal Pradesh, including the Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri, for the entire Budget session rocked the state Assembly on Tuesday.
Amid the demand to revoke the suspensions, there were heated exchanges between the treasury and the ruling benches, following which the Congress members staged a walk out from the Assembly.
While Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur described it the most unfortunate incident in the history of the state, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Bhardwaj demanded that the Congress members should tender an unconditional apology to the Governor for the shameful act if they want to resolve the issue.

Himachal Pradesh Speaker Vipin Parmar is examining the Assembly rules to file an FIR or police case against the five Congress MLAs suspended for the remainder of the Budget session for allegedly manhandling Governor Bandaru Dattatraya.
The Speaker told news agency Press Trust of India that this is for the first time in the history of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly that the Governor was manhandled by Opposition members.
He is examining the rules to file an FIR against the suspended Congress MLAs, the Speaker said.
Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatraya was allegedly manhandled by some Congress members in the Assembly complex on Friday after he addressed the House on the opening day of the Budget session.
