ANDALUSIA, Ill. The body of an East Moline man was found in the Mississippi River four months after he was reported missing.
According to previous reports, 35-year-old Ryan Muckelston was last seen in the early morning hours of January 18, 2021. He had left a Rock Island home on 8 1/2 Avenue and started walking home to East Moline.
Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson confirmed that Ryan s body was found near Andalusia by two commercial fishermen. They discovered his body Monday, May 17. It was recovered at 2:07 p.m.
Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson identified the teen boy as Charles W. Hubbard.
One day after the collision, Moline schools superintendent issued a statement sending condolences to Charles loved ones. I would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of the young man who passed away yesterday following a traffic accident, said Superintendent Dr. Rachel Savage.
She said counseling would be made available to any student or staff member within the district.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - A 3-year-old northwestern Illinois girl died after she apparently fell from a window on a frigid night and couldn’t get back inside her family’s home, police said.
Charlotte Handelman appears to have fallen out of a second-floor window at her family’s Rock Island home between 11 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday, when she was found outside, police said.

The home is in the Quad Cities area, which is located along the Illinois-Iowa state line. She was pronounced dead at a hospital and preliminary autopsy findings show she died from hypothermia, The Moline Dispatch/The Rock Island Argus reported.
