Palm Coast, FL - After taking delivery of a new 100-foot ladder truck earlier this year, the City of Palm Coast  decides to dedicate the truck to a local hero who perished in the line of duty. Sgt. Zachary Walters began his path towards joinin.

LASALLE – It was a bittersweet council meeting for LaSalle city officials as former members gave farewells and welcomed newcomers. LaSalle County Judge Cynthia Racuglia swore in city council members, new city clerk Amy L. Quinn and Fire Chief Jerry Janick.
The former city clerk of seven years, Carrie Brown, and Former Fire Chief Andy Bacidore, who have now officially retired were honored with plaques.

Yreka Volunteer Fire Department welcomes two new firefighters

The Yreka City Council unanimously welcomed two new firefighters to the Yreka Volunteer Fire Department at their meeting Thursday.
Robert Goyeneche and Lawrence Morris are a welcome addition to the small volunteer department, said Fire Chief Jerry Lemos.
Lemos said Goyeneche served the department for a number of years previously. He has substantial experience, including having been an assistant fire chief for the Yreka Volunteer Fire Department.
“He s a great asset, and he’s a proven leader,” Lemos said. “We re glad to have him back.”
Morris is also an experienced firefighter, Lemos said. He previously worked for the Gridley Fire Department.
