The 52-year-old music star opened up about the origin of his name and how he got his start in the music world while appearing on the latest episode of the Spout podcast.
“So it’s really like something I made up. That was like a trend in the nineties, that all the dutch DJs, they wanted to sound Italian. So we all put like an “O” behind
our name. Barcelo. Gizmo. Tiesto. So, you know, it was it was just a thing. And then it stuck,” he said.
