1/1 A GREENGROCER who has worked tirelessly during the coronavirus pandemic was devastated after losing hundreds of pounds of stock during a disturbance in her shop. Christine Ferguson was fuming after more than £500 worth of fresh fruit was thrown on the pavement during the melee, leaving it bruised and unsaleable. Mrs Ferguson had been doing paperwork in the office above Ferguson’s Fruit & Veg, in Market Street, Ferryhill, on Wednesday afternoon when she heard a commotion in the shop. She went to check on the member of staff in the shop and was confronted by a woman who was shouting about an incident elsewhere in the town.
