Several fires, including the still-growing Dixie Fire, are burning in Northern California. The U.S. Forest Service said it is operating in "crisis mode."
The weather service says the strongest winds will be along the western edge of the Sacramento Valley and "favorably oriented canyons" in the foothills and mountains.
