The total number of confirmed cases is now two thousand two hundred fourteen (2214). The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are monitoring thirteen (13) people in home isolation. No patients are currently hospitalized at the St. Maarten Medical Center. The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains at twenty seven (27). The number of people recovered since the first case surfaced on St. Maarten has increased to two thousand one hundred seventy four (2174). Forty seven (47) people are in quarantine based on contact tracing investigations carried out by CPS.

India & Pakistan on Banned List since April 20 Page Image Page Content The Collective Prevention Service (CPS) from the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development (Ministry VSA) said on Thursday that one case of the Indian COVID-19 variant has been found on the island. Based on the latest information, this Indian variant may be responsible for the resurgence in COVID-19 cases experienced in India and neighboring Pakistan. As a preemptive measure, the decision was taken to place India and Pakistan on the list of banned countries effective April 20, 2021.

Published: 08 March 2021 PHILIPSBURG (DCOMM): -The Vaccination Management Team (VMT), has announced that the second vaccination location for public vaccinations will be the Belair Community Center in Cay Hill and it opens on Tuesday, March 9th. In the original vaccination rollout plan, it was communicated that Dutch Quarter & Cole Bay community helpdesks would serve as public vaccination locations. At the time the VMT was not aware that the opportunity of the Belair Community Center was available. It has good parking space and is located at a well-known and location (opposite the Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC). The great advantage of Belair Community Center is plentiful space making it possible to easily upscale vaccination capacity depending on registration and demand.
