Celebrated on the last Monday in May (this year, May 31) Memorial Day arrives with outdoor services and presentations to honor American soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. To mark the occasion, Bay Area organizations plan to host wreath-laying ceremonies, cemetery-side memorial services and more events to attend in person or to view online.
Along with the solemnity of the federal holiday, the three-day weekend in late spring is also full of opportunities to relax and enjoy as summer approaches.
Singer Marty O Reilly will be taking part in a virtual show taged by Cardigan s Small World Theatre A DIGITAL cabaret is being staged by Cardigan’s Small World Theatre. The virtual event will be live streamed on Saturday, February 13 from 8pm and will feature a performance by singer Marty O’Reilly performing indie, folk, and blues from Santa Cruz, California. There will also be a ‘seriously good’ magic show, puppet animation sketches and two aerial shows performed in Cardigan by Hannah Darby and Jess Allen. A spokesperson said: Small World Theatre is delighted to announce the of launch of an online programme at a time when audiences are missing contact with their local community venues.
