May Update
Last month we provided you with preliminary guidelines for fall 2021. To continue to assist you with fall planning, we are providing an update given changing circumstances and public health guidelines, as well as continued progress by the Fall Planning Work Group.
Vaccines
As we have stated previously, COVID-19 vaccines are our best defense against the virus. Given the importance of vaccination, the University of California has proposed a mandated vaccination policy so that everyone will have ample time to obtain the vaccine ahead of the fall term.

And when they’re on vacation, the chancellor adds, it’s LeShelle who people think is a celebrity. The chancellor also responds to a questioner who is reluctant to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
To the UC Davis Community:
By now you have probably heard the good news that the federal government and the California Department of Public Health have authorized the administration of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to ages 12 to 15. The Davis campus vaccine clinic administered its first two doses in this new age group at 8 a.m. yesterday and appointments for next week are available on the state’s My Turn website.

Thank goodness for a Thank Goodness for Staff celebration this year that isn’t completely virtual.
With an easing of COVID-19 restrictions in our region, TGFS organizers saw an opportunity to treat staff to a drive-in movie, Friday (May 21). Not exactly an in-person event with people from outside your household, but close enough!

Your 2021 TGFS Logo Contest winner is Mark Deamer of Information and Educational Technology, where his responsibilities include web/graphic design and communications.
