BANGKOK, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) Thailand celebrated the new year with more constraints as re-emergence of the COVID-19 outbreak has spread to over half of its provinces.
To heighten the festival atmosphere, the Thai government organized a grand firework show along the Chao Phraya river in the capital Bangkok.
The firework show, with a theme of Amazing Thailand Countdown 2021 Celebrate the Shining Spirit of Thailand, was staged on the New Year s Eve, when 25,000 eco-friendly fireworks lit up the sky along a 1,400-meter length of the river that runs through the city.

Even though there will be no concerts and activities at this year s Amazing Thailand Countdown 2021: Celebrate The Spirit Of Thailand , Iconsiam will still go ahead with a fireworks extravaganza to cheer-up everyone to brave through the coronavirus pandemic together.
People can choose to count down towards 2021 at home or at Iconsiam s River Park, which is preparing more than 25,000 fireworks to light up the sky across the curve of Chao Phraya River that spans 1,400m.
