Covid memorial tree By Jeff Gilliland - jgilliland@timesgazette.com Catina Roades was watching a recent episode of “Alaska: The Last Frontier” when footage of some of the characters placing flowers in the ocean in memory of COVID-19 victims made her want to do something similar. “A couple days later I said, ‘I want to do something like that.’ So my husband said, ‘Well, go for it.’” Roades said. As a result, Roades decided to open a evergreen tree in front of her residence at 510 S. Sycamore St./SR 135 at the edge of Lynchburg to anyone that would like to place a ribbon, ornament or bow on the tree in memory of those suffering from Covid.
