Between the beautiful spring weather, Easter and COVID-19 vaccination open to all Oklahomans, we have a lot to celebrate and fun happenings to enjoy this weekend.
The Oklahoma City Philharmonic is Under Pressure to Rock You this weekend, so bring Somebody to Love to its shows featuring songs by the iconic group Queen.
The OKC Phil presentation of “Windborne Music’s The Music of Queen” just added a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee along with its 8 p.m. shows Friday and Saturday at the Civic Center Music Hall. The show features vocalist Brody Dolynik and guest conductor Brent Havens. If you can’t make the socially distanced show live, purchase the Digital Stream for viewing through April 18. For information or tickets, go to okcphil.org or call 405-842-5387.

The Shawnee News-Star
Brighten your spring with the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden’s new four-week painting series, Paint the Wild. This exclusive experience offers participants, 12 and older, a memorable way to combine their passion for wildlife and wild places through a fun and creative outlet–painting! The OKC Zoo is kicking off Paint the Wild with a virtual event in March and hosting socially distant, in-person events every weekend in April from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Zoo.
“We are always looking for fresh ways to enhance our event calendar while creating new opportunities for people to connect with the Zoo’s animals in a safe and unique setting,” said Jenna Dodson, OKC Zoo’s manager of events.
