Despite the claim of the government that various efforts such as the passage of the law on Ease of Doing Business have reduced the processing time and curbed corrupt bureaucratic practices in the country, the Philippines is still way behind other countries when putting up an online venture.
This is according to a new study, which showed that the country was at the 78
th spot in the list of best countries to start an online business.
The report, conducted by the website bestaccountingsoftware.com, found that the majority of countries most suited to starting an online business are located in Europe.

The pace of Turkey’s economic catch-up with high-income countries between 2002 and 2017 was, at the time, one of the most remarkable among comparable economies. In a period of less than 20 years, the country came close to transitioning from upper middle-income to high-income status, a feat only achieved by a handful of countries in the past decades. But a series of shocks, amplified since 2016, have disrupted progress.

South Sudan: Logistics Efficiency and Pre-positioning Strategy 2020-2021
Format
OVERVIEW
This document aims to provide logistics efficiency and pre-positioning guidance for humanitarian organisations working in South Sudan for the 2020-2021 dry season and beyond. The Logistics Cluster plans to achieve logistics and cost efficiencies by continuing to undertake a shift in transport modalities by decreasing reliance on air transport and instead better utilising road and river transport. This strategy will enable responding organisations to establish an uninterrupted supply chain that supports the delivery of humanitarian relief items to affected populations by pre-positioning their requirements early. To achieve what is set out in this strategy, flexibility and cooperation will be required from all organisations, as well as early procurement of pipeline supplies prior to dry season.
