Four murder investigations launched in three months on Merseyside
The deaths of two pensioners, a middle aged mum and a young woman have resulted in new murder investigations on Merseyside this year

Police have launched four murder investigations this year following the suspicious deaths of three women and a man.
N Taya Elliott-Cleverly,20, Rose Marie Tinton 77, Helen Joy, 54, and Martin Decker , 69, were all found dead in their homes on Merseyside.
Crime scenes formed at each address as forensic officers searched for clues to explain the deaths.
Each death has led to grief and distress for families and a sense of shock for local communities.
Martin Decker s body was found at his home in Vyner Croft on Sunday afternoon. A post-mortem revealed cause of death was a severe blunt force head injury and a murder investigation has been launched. In a statement this afternoon Martin s family wrote: Martin was the oldest of six children and he taught his brothers and sisters how to laugh, play and enjoy life. His life was spent working hard on behalf of other people and for their benefit. He managed a team of lawyers at the CPS, all of whom loved and admired him, they would go the extra mile for him to meet his high standards.

Detectives investigating the murder of a gentleman lawyer remain at the scene in Wirral this morning. Officers were first called to a house in Vyner Croft, in Birkenhead, at about 5.20pm on Sunday where they found the body of Martin Decker.
The force said Mr Decker died as a result of a severe head injury.
Photos from the scene showed officers still working there, as a cordon remained in place.
Loving tributes were also left for Mr Decker, as flowers were left outside of the home.
