Jakarta: In a bid to increase the capacity of medical waste treatment amid covid-19 pandemic, the Indonesian Government has announced it will develop technology for micro-scale and mobile medical waste treatment.
There are several proven technologies developed to significantly increase the capacity of waste management, one of which is technology that can be used for micro-scale and mobile waste treatment, said Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency Laksana Tri Handoko on Wednesday, as quoted by the Cabinet Secretariat s website.

This technology, Handoko added, can be utilized for medical waste treatment in areas with a small population and waste.

Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Laksana Tri Handoko Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) has launched a Papua information center that will function as a warehouse of data for regional development policies and programs.
At a discussion and launch of a virtual Papuan documentation website here on Monday, Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Laksana Tri Handoko stated that the Papua information center had demonstrated LIPI s commitment to documenting scientific data on Papua.
Handoko, ex-chairman of LIPI, remarked that technical data on Papua is not only beneficial for scientific development but can also be utilized as a basis for framing policies and programs for regional development.
