Cagayan de Oro hospitals hit high risk level, says RIATF-MEID

Published August 5, 2021, 7:21 AM ILIGAN CITY – The regional Inter Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious disease (RIATF-MEID) has confirmed that hospitals in Cagayan de Oro City are at high risk following the rise of COVID-19 cases in the region. During its daily zoom briefing August 2, Department of Health regional director Dr. Jose Llacuna Jr., said the region has now an overall health care utilization rate of 54.5 percent or “low-risk”. He clarified however that Cagayan de Oro City’s health care utilization rate is now at 85% or “high-risk” due to the recent surge of COVID-19 cases on level-2 hospitals both private and public in the city.
