Tuesday, July 20, 2021 Submitted photo Director of Schools Dr. Tammy Garrett and Shelbyville Central High School Principal Rebecca Tidwell are excited to announce the hiring of new head coaches for the Eaglette and Golden Eagle basketball programs. “The SCHS basketball program has a rich history of success and we are very excited to have two coaches that understand that history and are willing to embrace it,” commented Garrett. “We are looking forward to seeing the success Coach Kyle Turnham and Coach Kody Howard will bring to both of these outstanding programs.” Kyle Turnham will be taking over as the head coach for the Eaglette basketball program.

T-G Photo by Dawn Hankins When Shelbyville Central High School seniors receive their diplomas 7 p.m. Saturday, Rebecca Tidwell’s name will be listed on the program for the first time as principal. The announcement of Tidwell taking the reins of the high school is among several personnel changes recently announced from superintendent Tammy Garrett’s office. Tidwell first assumed the role as interim principal when Tim Harwell assumed his new position earlier this month as assistant superintendent.
