Philly Comes to Town, LaVine Goes from Out to Doubtful, More NBA Injuries, and Other Bulls Bullets

•   The Bulls will enter tonight’s matchup with the Philidelphia 76ers on a three-game losing streak. Two nights ago against the Atlanta Hawks, they ended up playing without both All-Stars after the team announced Nikola Vucevic as a late scratch with an adductor strain. To the Bulls’ credit, they fought hard and got the most out of their supporting cast in the first half, but Atlanta’s clear talent advantage made the 108-97 loss practically inevitable. I think most of us are expecting to see a pretty similar outcome tonight, if not worse. Still, hopefully, Vucevic can return to the floor to give the Bulls a fighting chance. After all, the 76ers are coming off a closely fought battle with the San Antonio Spurs last night. The game went into overtime before Philly walked away with the slim 113-111 victory. If the Bulls can bring the same energy we have seen over the past couple of games with an uptick in their consistency – who knows – they could catch this Philly team s

Sixers NBA Trade Deadline Primer: Everything you need to know Share this story Photo by Douglas P. DeFelice/Getty Images We are officially one month out from the beloved NBA Trade Deadline! One of the busiest days in the NBA is now on the horizon. As we move forward, teams will become buyers or sellers as they either make moves to ensure a postseason push or a spot in the NBA lottery. The Sixers are currently sitting on top of the Eastern Conference, but make no mistake there’s many holes that need to be addressed with this team for them to have a serious shot at an NBA title.

Game Preview #28: Lakers at Wolves

Game Preview #28: Lakers at Wolves Share this story Game Info Radio: 830 WCCO AM Radio What To Watch For Well, for starters, how about a winning streak? Since claiming victory in their first two games of the season, the Timberwolves have failed to string together back-to-back wins since the day after Christmas. After a surprising (albeit somewhat-deserved) victory against the Toronto Tampa Bay Raptors, the Wolves return to Minnesota for a series of games on their home floor, starting tonight with a game against the Los Angeles Lakers, followed by contests against the Indiana Pacers (Wednesday) and Raptors (Friday). Considering the fact that the last time these two franchises squared off resulted in the biggest blowout of the season for Minnesota (the Wolves lost 127-91 at Staples Center), it’s fair for many of you to simply DVR this one and find better ways to spend your Tuesday evening. However, this stat from our good friend Alan Horton is pretty mind-blowing and defini

Surprising trends to keep an eye on the rest of the NBA season

© Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports Until recently, an Achilles injury was considered to be a career-ending or at least a career-shortening injury. However, with the way the likes of Kevin Durant, Mike Conley, John Wall, and others have looked this season, we may need to recalibrate expectations for players who suffer this cruel injury moving forward. Durant literally looks exactly the same as he looked before he was injured in the 2019 NBA Playoffs. Now, with KD, we re talking about one of the greatest players in NBA history, arguably the greatest scorer, so there s a chance that he s a statistical anomaly because of his generational athleticism and skill set. But then you look at guys like Mike Conley (two seasons removed from an Achilles procedure) and John Wall, and they both look pretty similar athletically to the versions of the players we saw pre-injury. Could this mean that Achilles surgery and rehabilitation technology and procedures are improving? Hopefully. We still n
