Juneteenth Jazz Legacy and Heritage Festival set for Henderson News 3 Staff © Provided by KSNV – Las Vegas The city of Henderson is working with a foundation to hold a two-day Juneteenth Jazz Legacy and Heritage Festival this Friday and Saturday. A city spokesperson says the event is being held on June 11 and 12 in partnership with the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation Nevada, or NJOFNV. It s part of a series of events organized by the NJOFNV leading up to Juneteenth on June 19, which recognizes the end of slavery in the United States. The festival starts Friday, June 11, at the new Water Street Plaza in downtown Henderson. Friday s fun lasts from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with live music and dance performances.
