Firearms, fentanyl seized amid Miles Street search (2 photos)

Police arrested four suspects, and seized fentanyl and firearms following the search of a Miles Street home Wednesday afternoon.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at a residential address in the 200 block of Miles Street just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31. The warrant was obtained as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug-trafficking activity.
When police entered the residence, a number of individuals barricaded themselves in a bathroom and refused to comply with the officers’ demands. The individuals in the washroom were suspected of hiding or destroying narcotics.
Four people were arrested and transported to the TBPS headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street. ....

Police arrested five suspects connected to a drug trafficking investigation, including a Mississauga man who attempted to take the firearm of an arresting officer, Wednesday night.
Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s and OPP’s Intelligence Units executed a search warrant at a residential address in the 100 block of Franklin Street South just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9. The search was the result of an ongoing investigation into drug-trafficking activity. ....
