March 03, 2021WOLFEBORO Each of the six candidates running for the two open seats on the Board of Selectmen had the opportunity to make a pitch to the voters during the Wolfeboro Area Chamber of Commerce s Candidates Night held at the GWRSD s Kingswood Arts Center. It was broadcast live to those at home and may be viewed on Wolfeboro Community Television s You Tube channel. Luke Freudenberg has previously served a three term on the board and is seeking to return to the post. A graduate of Kingswood Regional High School and the University of New Hampshire, Freudenberg worked for FEMA in years past, and returned to Wolfeboro, where he is the owner of Northeast Dock and Barge.

New K-12 school outbreaks also were identified in 10 counties. Below are those outbreaks listed by county: Antrim County: Elk Rapids High School, two students. LAUSD schools mourning two teachers who died of COVID-19 KABC Share: STUDIO CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) Former students and their families are sharing memories of a beloved San Fernando Valley teacher who passed away due to complications from COVID-19. Nicholas Glover died Friday, Jan. 8 at his home. He had taught at Carpenter Elementary in Studio City for 17 years. I was a bit shocked when I got the news, said 10 year-old Robin Latsch, who had Glover as a teacher twice - for 1st and 4th grades. Those students are known as Double Glovers. He understood me very well and we had a lot of fun, said Latsch.

COVID-19 Outbreak Forces Carpenter Elementary to Online Learning The closure affects only Emeline Carpenter; all other NISD campuses will remain open for face-to-face instruction. The campus will remain closed to students through Friday, Dec. 18, which will mark the start of the school s Christmas break.  Classes are expected to return to normal and face to face at Carpenter on Tuesday, Jan. 5. Curbside meal pickup will be available for students enrolled in Carpenter. On Thursday and Friday, those meals will be available at McMichael Middle School. Beginning Monday, Dec. 14, Carpenter parents can go to the Carpenter campus to receive meals. Pickup time for meals at both locations will be 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
