Prayer for dad: Spray-painted sign inspires public to pray for COVID battle

For others, the virus is the difference between life and death.
One son or daughter in Collier County is so scared that he or she spray-painted a plea on the side of a truck, asking prayers for their “Dad, John … COVID.”
The photo of the truck was taken along Golden Gate Boulevard and sent to WINK News. We don’t know whose truck it is, but it probably belongs to someone who’d probably like politicos to turn down the noise for a moment and pray for their father.
More than three-fourths of a 1,200-acre fire in north Collier County remained active Sunday morning with firefighters from two counties working to further contain flames that destroyed one home and damaged others.
Early Sunday morning the Florida Forest Service Caloosahatchee Center was reporting the fire was about 20 percent contained.
The fire began near Desoto Boulevard South and 14th Avenue Southeast.
The following roads are closed due to the brush fire, according to the Collier County Sheriff s Office:
Desoto Boulevard south of Golden Gate Boulevard
Everglades Boulevard south of Golden Gate Boulevard
