Regulators consider how potent to allow marijuana edibles in NJ
TRENTON – With one notable exception, a parade of doctors, patients and lawyers urged the state Cannabis Regulatory Commission not to impose strict limits, or maybe even any limits at all, on the potency of concentrates and edibles that will be sold in New Jersey marijuana dispensaries.
Medical edibles and vapes are now allowed in New Jersey’s medical marijuana program, capped at a strength of 350 milligrams of THC, the chemical that gives people the feeling of being high. There should be no cap and all products available going forward, said patient Robert Devine.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ Voters throughout Mercer County will be able to cast their ballot safely for the upcoming June 8 Primary Election through one of the 15 secured drop boxes that will be placed across the county, Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello has announced.
These boxes are under 24-7 camera surveillance with a double-key security feature to secure the ballots. Ballots are picked up daily under the supervision of law enforcement and not unlocked until they arrive at the County Clerk s office. When the inner metal box is removed from the drop box, the top is locked and cannot be reopened without a second key.

TRENTON – People stuck in an information void about why their unemployment claims are hung up could soon benefit from a technology upgrade that would provide them online details about the problems that are causing the pause.
Labor and Workforce Development Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo said a lot of “justifiable frustration arises when benefits stop, seemingly out of nowhere,” with vague messages that say ‘pending’ or ‘claim is not payable at this time.’
“I know the anxiety that causes when you don’t know what’s going on with your claim,” Asaro-Angelo said at an Assembly Budget Committee hearing.
