Eladio Herrera, 63, was charged in Santa Barbara County Superior Court in connection with the death of Dolores Reyes, 38, late Sunday night inside a home on the 1800 block of Ironwood Drive in the Tanglewood subdivision west of Santa Maria. Responding to a domestic-disturbance call at approximately 10:45 p.m., Santa Barbara County sheriff’s deputies found Herrera sitting in a car in front of the residence. He allegedly told deputies he shot his wife inside the house.
