TYE, TX – A 28-year-old Tye man is facing serious charges after he assaulted a police officer. According to the Tye Police Department, William Ryan Pierce was arrested after a four-hour standoff with law enforcement. The standoff began around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday after Pierce refused to exit his home and hid in the attic of the home. After obtaining a search warrant Tye Police officers and members of the Sheriff s Special Response team entered the home. Around 10:15 p.m. Pierce was removed from the home. Tye Police Chief Jay Strong confirmed the suspect assaulted an officer. ....

Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested for Firing Gun At Strip Club
SWEETWATER, TX – A 30-year-old man was arrested after firing his gun at a strip club. According to the Tye Police Department, Brandon Jones was at Jaguars early Sunday morning. He was arrested after firing his gun six times at the building while in the club s parking lot. No one was injured at the club and Jones was arrested on Monday inside a store in Sweetwater. Law enforcement found large amounts of cocaine, marijuana, and money during the arrest. Jones was charged with deadly conduct, felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and attempted manufacture/delivery of cocaine. ....
