Effective immediately, Ward 1 Councillor Gerry Glover is the new Mayor of the Municipality of Kincardine for the remainder of the 2018-2022 term.
After Anne Eadie’s resignation, which she announced on April 9, deputy mayor Randy Roppel became acting mayor. In a committee-of-the-whole meeting on April 19 council discussed their options for electing a new mayor. These options included appointing a current member of council, appointing an eligible elector or passing a bylaw requiring a by-election to be held.
