Kids can apply for camp scholarships
Shares
The Davis Odd Fellows Encampment announced that it is accepting applications for children’s camp scholarships for the summer of 2021. These scholarships enable children to register for programs provided by the city’s Parks and Recreation over the summer.
The 2021 summer camp programs will be modified to meet restrictions in response to COVID-19. Day camps, cooking camps, sports camps and specialty camps are just a few of the upcoming options. The city determined that Camp Putah and Trekkers cannot be offered this summer.
Some of the available programs include weeklong day camps, such as Summer Quest, Rainbow Summer and Kids in the Kitchen; youth swimming classes; and horse camp at Pine Trails.

Being a Davis resident means being involved. For newcomers or longtime locals looking for connections, there are plenty of adult organizations, clubs and political causes. For those who want to lend a hand or further a cause, there are lots of volunteer opportunities that make a difference.
The activities of many of the following organizations are announced in the Briefly column or Community Calendar, or elsewhere in the pages of The Enterprise. Keep reading the paper, check online, and feel at home in the community.
