At the Four Fish, visitors tend to go there either for convenient access for fishing or for special events in Jensen Beach, said booking manager Susan Pingolt. The strongest months normally for the inn are January through March. While vaccination efforts began in late December, the inn only saw a moderate bump in bookings, Pingolt said. It normally slows down for us by summer, and it doesn t pick up again until November, she said.
Prior to the pandemic, the hotel employed a full-time housekeeper. But with last spring leaving the hotel empty, the inn could not retain its employee, Pingolt said. Instead, a temporary agency now provides a housekeeper until bookings pick up, Pingolt said.
