EVANSVILLE, Ind. Deaconess Health System said Wednesday afternoon it anticipates receiving 1,950 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine early next week and will administer first doses to employees possibly next Wednesday.
Local medical and health department officials say they have been in daily and weekly contact with the Indiana State Department of Health, which is overseeing the fast-moving and still-evolving move toward a coordinated statewide vaccination campaign. Deaconess provided the local dosage figure, it said Wednesday, after conferring earlier in the day with Indiana and Kentucky state health officials.
