“I think this is the best and most important book I’ve ever done.”
Coming from most authors, a statement like this would almost certainly come across as hyperbolic, if not a clever statement to get people to buy their new book.
But coming from James Patterson the revered author of hundreds of thrillers and who just happens to hold the record for the most No. 1 New York Times bestsellers by an individual author that kind of statement is really saying something.
“But the thing is that I didn’t really write this book.
They did,” says Patterson.

The book that Patterson is referring to is “Walk in My Combat Boots: True Stories From America’s Bravest Warriors,” released this week by Little, Brown and Company.
