Downington woman sues doctor's office, says she fell leaving building

Theodore Caldwell for the plaintiff MEDIA - A Downingtown couple sued Paoli Memorial Hospital s owners and operators after the wife allegedly tripped and was injured exiting the hospital after a doctor s appointment.  According to documents filed in February in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, plaintiff Lisa Egan was leaving a doctor s appointment on April 5, 2019. She walked along the second-story hallway to a doorway that was marked with an exit sign, and descended two flights of stairs, where she then encountered another door that led out of the building.  Egan says there was no signs or other indicators that the doors and stairs she had used were not actually intended for patient use and were instead for either staff, personnel, or fire/emergency.
