While a Memphis judge had awarded activist Pamela Moses $500 in a defamation lawsuit against former county commissioner Terry Roland, a March 25th Court of Appeals ruling reversed that decision, finding Roland not liable for defamation.
It has now been more than 60 days since the judgment was issued by Judge J. Steven Stafford, meaning Moses cannot appeal the judgment to the Tennessee Supreme Court. First of all, it shows that I was right from the beginning, it shows that at the end of the day what I said wasn t what she said I said and it s time that justice was served, Roland said. To be real honest with you, anybody else that holds office, this bears weight on them going forward. If you fix it to where you can t say anything, what s the good of serving?

The recipient of the Canadian Lacrosse Association’s 2021 Lester B. Pearson Award is Dean McLeod. This annual award is presented to a member of the Canadian lacrosse community in recognition ofoutstanding contributions of sportsmanship and leadership in the game of lacrosse and to the physical and mental development of young Canadians through unselfish dedication as a volunteer.
Dean McLeod’s devotion, work ethic, focus and commitment to Ontario Junior “A” lacrosse and to lacrosse in his home town of Brampton have been exemplary. It should be no surprise he has been awarded the Lester Pearson Award. If anything, it could be viewed as somewhat puzzling it took so long for him to be given this recognition.
Tennessee’s Electors Cast Electoral College Ballots Dec 14, 2020 at 01:11 pm by WGNS
Tennessee’s presidential electors met at the State Capitol Monday (12/14/20) to cast their ballots for Donald J. Trump for President of the United States.
“Tennessee’s electors casting ballots in the Electoral College is the last step in our electoral process,” said Secretary Hargett. “Tennessee had a safe, sensible and responsible election, thanks to the hard work and planning by our Division of Elections, the administrators and staff of our 95 county election commissions and all of the poll officials who stepped up to serve in their communities.”
The Volunteer State has 11 of the total 538 electoral votes that make up the U.S. Electoral College. Each state gets two at-large electors and one elector for each congressional district. Tennessee has nine congressional districts.
