Though Emma Walker admitted the idea came from the US marketing team, it s most definitely
not a whisky for women. Never mind that the stylish walking-man logo is now a sharp-dressed woman. Or that I don t see the name of a master blender on other Johnnie Walker whiskies.
And there s nothing about these tasting notes on the box that signify an outreach to women: Fresh orchard fruit, hints of sweet cream and a dark chocolate finish. (Wait, is this really Scotch, or is it Bailey s Irish Cream?)
And that s good, because according to women in my Twitter feed, women don t want a whisky for women.
