Two days after the murder of Kevonn Wade, shots rang out once again in Punta Gorda, about a quarter mile away; near the welcome sign to the municipality. Dwayne Myers was sitting in his vehicle when he was killed. Today, we asked Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett about the incident and if Myers’ murder is related to other recent killings in P.G.

“Around 8:10 p.m., police were also called to an area along the seaside at the entrance of Punta Gorda Town where they observed one Dwayne Myers, forty-nine years, sitting inside his white car with apparent gunshot injuries.
