The weekend is officially just hours away. but first we wanted to know what you d choose for a name if you d been able to choose it yourself?
JStew: I ve already been down this road in a way. Fact of the matter is, if you don t like your name, you are 100% legally entitled to change it. My last name, Stewart, is my legal last name, but it s not the last name I was born with. Years and years ago, I took my mother s maiden name. My parents had been divorced since I was a baby, and I used to feel a lot closer to my mom s side of the family. Luckily over the years, I ve gotten to appreciate the other side of my family a lot!! I also had an ex-girlfriend with a really awkward last name, and I remember her always saying she couldn t wait to get married so she could just take her husband s name. She eventually got her wish. Just not from me, thankfully. She got the new last name, but already ditched the husband, hahaha.
Last week was awful. The news that not one but two kids lost their lives in separate fires in separate towns in Maine was bad enough, but unfortunately it didn t end there. A family of 6 was left homeless and a couple in their 70 s died as a result of fire all in the span of one week!
Unfortunately, most of last week s fires were ruled accidental; the result of improper electrical work or combustible materials placed too close to a wood stove. There have also been numerous reports of chimney fires this past week, one hitting close to home for me, because it was at my house!
What TV Show Theme Song Perfectly Describes Your Life?
A while back, we did a topic about your personal walkup music . as though you were an MMA fighter or something. Today, we wanted to know a TV theme song that perfectly sums up your life.. What would yours be?
JStew: One would have to be the theme from the show Barney . I ve always said, if I ever completely lose my mind in traffic, I m going to drive around hitting parked cars, and blasting the Barney theme out the windows as I cry/scream through my wake of vehicular destruction. Or, I think at this point in my life the theme from WKRP in Cincinnati might be more suitable. God I love that show. It s like spinal Tap for radio people. I m not sure how M A S H would fit in, because I m not remotely a doctor. But I ll take a look!
