Chattanooga Whiskey Introduces A Tawny Port Cask Finished Whiskey
Chattanooga Whiskey out of Tennessee recently announced the first release of its Barrel Finishing Series: Tawny Port Cask Finish.
This limited edition Barrel Finishing Series showcases what’s described as the distillery’s signature Tennessee High Malt whiskey with a variety of classic finishing casks. This expression is crafted from a combination of unique bourbon mash bills, all containing over 25% specialty malt.
Each of the batches is made to complement the flavor characteristics of the barrel it was finished in.

Distilleries along the Tennessee Whiskey Trail are decking the halls during the holidays with themed cocktails, charity events, exclusive gifts and more. More than 25 distilleries across 36 counties are part of the trail and plan to celebrate the season.
“The distilleries of the Tennessee Whiskey Trail have come up with some creative experiences to celebrate the season. This year has been a tough one, so it’s more important than ever to us to boost people’s spirits,” Sara Beth Urban, executive director of the Tennessee Distiller’s Guild, said in a release.
Whiskey-lovers can try out the trail and earn a commemorative gift at the end of their trip by completing a passport. Visitors can pick up a passport at participating distilleries or download a passport on the TN Whiskey Trail app available on Apple and Android devices.
