VERONA, NJ There are three open seats on the Township Council that will be decided when registered voters go to the polls Tuesday, May 11.
But only one incumbent is seeking re-election. That is Mayor Jack McEvoy, who is seeking to retain his seat on the council.
Two other current Verona councilmembers whose terms expire in June, Ted Giblin and Kevin Ryan, are not seeking re-election.

VERONA, NJ Dr. Elizabeth Giblin will be stepping down from her post as the president of the Verona Township Public Library Board of Trustees this week.
Mayor Jack McEvoy said during last week’s virtual meeting of the Township Council, “I would definitely like to thank her for her service. Taking that library through two major renovations, she did an excellent job, and for all the other things she did for the library, not just the renovations. I thank her for the township for the time that she put into it.”
