Australia’s oldest ever man has died peacefully aged 111 - just two months after revealing his secrets for a long and prosperous life.
Dexter Kruge, a former author, grazier and veterinary surgeon, was born in Kilcoy in Queensland in 1910, and celebrated the milestone of becoming Australia’s most official senior resident in May.
The super-centenarian passed away on Tuesday morning in his aged care facility in Roma in southwest Queensland.
During his time alive, Kruger lived through both World Wars, the Great Depression as well as the Spanish Flu pandemic.
Kruge marked being 111 years and 124 days a couple of months ago while surrounded by family and friends.
