MPB snaps £50m Series D funding for second-hand cameras MPB, the world’s largest reseller of photo and video kit, has raised £49.8m Series D funding, led by Vitruvian Partners alongside existing investors Acton Capital, Mobeus Equity Partners, Beringea and FJ Labs. Brighton-based MPB resells 300,000 pieces of kit globally each year. Craft sews £6m Series A funding round together Craft Docs, the collaborative writing and editing platform, has raised $8m (£5.8m) Series A funding through early-stage investor Creandum, whose previous investments include Spotify, Klarna and Kahoot. Other investment came from InReach Ventures and former CEO and co-founder of Skyscanner, Gareth Williams.

Transcelestial enters local market

Transcelestial, the Singapore-based company building the future of Superfast Global Internet Distribution, on Friday, (Feb. 19) announced it has closed a strategic investment of US$2 million from Kickstart Ventures. The company, recognized for its Most Disruptive Technology, is expected to boost internet penetration in the country and provide telcos and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) with an affordable option for 5G deployment. The Transcelestial investment was the first publicly announced infusion by Kickstart Ventures from its USD 180 million ACTIVE Fund backed by Ayala Corporation, with several subsidiaries participating – AC Energy, AC Industrials, AC Ventures, BPI, and Kickstart’s parent company, Globe Telecom.
