Halcyon Bike Shop owner renews lease after pondering move to Chestnut Hill
Halcyon Bike Shop will be staying in 12South long term.
Andrew Parker, owner of the bustling business, recently renewed his lease for the building, a move that followed his mid-2020 $600,000 purchase of a Chestnut Hill property (read here) to which he had considered relocating.
“We anticipated leaving, but our home is 12South and we owe a huge part of our success to the neighborhood’s residents,” Parker said. “So now we need to determine what to do with the Chestnut Hill property.”

Men’s boutique clothing business Buck Mason eyes spring opening on Halcyon
Buck Mason, a Los Angeles-based boutique menswear brand specializing in “modern American classics,” will open this spring its first Tennessee location in Nashville s 12South district.
The specialty retailer will take the 1,200-square-foot space in a building (pictured) long home to M.L. Crawford’s Salon, located at
1119 Halcyon Ave. Next door at 2802 12th Ave. S. is Halcyon Bikes. 12South Filling Station operates in a small building located across Halcyon.
Erik Allen Ford and Sasha Koehn founded Buck Mason in 2013. The retailer markets T-shirts, denim jeans, chino pants and button-up shirts. The brand operates 11 brick-and-mortar retail locations in Austin, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. To date, Buck Mason has sold more than 1 million T-shirts, all made in Los Angeles. The tees sell for an average of $35.
