'Eggsibition' Set To Return to Downtown Steubenville | News, Sports, Jobs

For The Intelligencer Photo by Warren Scott Tess McKenna puts the finishing touches to one of the 32 oversized, hand-painted eggs that will be on display for the Great Steubenville Eggsibition, April 2 to May 2. If ever there was a year communities across America need a little “egg-stra” hope, Therese Nelson figures this is it. After a year of shutdowns, social distancing and stay-cations, she said people are ready to have some fun. And while there are still safety protocols that need to be respected, Nelson said the fifth-annual Great Steubenville Eggsibition is a chance for individuals and families to get out in the fresh air and enjoy a fun Easter tradition without putting themselves and others at risk.

Dean Martin Festival Prospects Fading | News, Sports, Jobs

For The Times Leader STEUBENVILLE With every day that passes, JoJo DiAlbert admits it feels less and less like the Dean Martin Festival will happen this year, though he’s not ready to throw in the towel. “I feel like it’s not going to happen, but I hope I’m wrong,” DiAlbert, the festival organizer, said. “If something isn’t done in the next couple weeks, I don’t think it will take place. Usually, we start working on it at the end of February, trying to get bands together, and then in March we start trying to get (information) out to the public – if we’re going to do it in June, we’ve got to have a couple months to get it out there. I think we’re running out of time.”
